The Greater Dunnellon Historical Society has set its next murder-mystery event and promises its best event yet.
There will be three performances, including a Sunday matinee, to reduce the number of seats and noise level. Large square tables will replace round tables that seat eight. And a new format will have actors addressing audience members from the stage.
“Evil on the Beach” will be held Friday and Saturday, April 30 and May 1, beginning at 7 p.m. Tickets are $20 and include a full meal. A matinee on Sunday, May 2, begins at 2 p.m. and $15 tickets will include light refreshments. The doors open 20 minutes before each performance. The event is set at a Florida beach resort in November 1928 during a reunion of war comrades. The Depot is located at 12061 S. Williams St. in Dunnellon.
Tickets will be available at the Historical Society’s flea market at the Depot on Saturday, April 10, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. and the Dunnellon Farmers Market at the Depot on Tuesdays from 2 to 6 p.m.
Tickets may also be purchased by mail. Send check or money order to Greater Dunnellon Historical Society, P.O. Box 1836, Dunnellon, FL 34430-1836. Include full name, address and a telephone number, along with payment and which event you would like to attend, Friday, Saturday or Sunday. Your tickets will be mailed.
Seats are limited and tickets will be sold first come, first served. Please purchase tickets together if you would like to be seated together. A full table of eight is $160 for evening events or $120 for the matinee.
